Ms. Barbara Anne Gibson is the second child born to the parentage of the late Isaac Gibson, Sr. and Lucille Robinson Gibson on July 4, 1947 in West Point, GA. She transitioned to be with the Lord on April 3, 2015 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield, OH. Anne confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Christian faith at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. R. Sheridan.

Anne was a graduate of Lanier High School, Class of 1965 and later studied at Miles College in Fairfield, AL. She was a member of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a non-profit business and professional women’s organization, founded in 1942 by eleven women who attended Lewis Business College in Detroit, Michigan. The vision of these eleven visionary Founders was to promote higher scholastic standards, personal growth, career awareness, and to provide opportunities for community service. Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was incorporated in 1943.

 

She was also preceded in death by her two loving brothers, Isaac Gibson, Jr. and Charlie (Gip) Gibson. Lasting memories will be cherished by her biological daughter, Cherroyle D. Webb of Montgomery, AL; two loving and devoted sisters Nancy M. Gibson (Sister) and Annette Gibson, both of Lanett, AL; two special cousins Bobby Lee Williams of Montgomery, AL and William Phillip Hussey of Manhattan, NY; God Mother, Ms. Essie Mae Harris of Lanett, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
