Mrs. Bena B. Burns was born to the parentage of Mr. Preston Russell and Mrs. Zula Pearson Russell on February 4, 1928 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Sardis Baptist Church. After finishing school at Tallapoosa County Training School, she furthered her education at Snow Hill College in Snow Hill, Alabama. After returning home she helped take care of her mother and worked in private home in Dadeville.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr.Robert Williams who preceded her in death. Later she married Mr. Velpo Burns.

She was called from earthly labor to eternal rest quietly in her sleep on September 4, 2013.

Faye N. Pettus, Dadeville, AL, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
