Her Life
October 6, 2017

On Monday night, October 2, 2017, an angel came and closed the eyes of Sis. Bertha Mae Thompson, and took her home of eternal rest. She was born on June 15th, 1933 to the late Fannie and Cecil Dean in Meriwether County, Georgia. She joined the White Plaines United Methodist Church at an early age. She served as a class leader for many years. When her health began to fail she couldn’t attend church but she held on to her faith.

She was a member of the UBA Lodge No. 108 and the Heroines of
Jericho.

She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Roger)
Williams, Patricia Smith, and Mattie Williams, all of Greenville, GA;
four sons, Ronald (Rebecca) Cameron, Willie Cameron Jr., Greenville,
GA, James Smith, Newnan, GA, Larry (Cheryl) Smith, Alabama; three
sisters, Annie Ruth Swanson, Detroit, MI, Catherine Towns,
Luthersville, GA, and Dorothy (Tommy) Thornton, LaGrange, GA; one
brother preceded her in death, Frank Dean Sr.; four sisters-in-laws,
Frances Woodard, Amber Jean Swanson, Annette (Will) Partridge,
Carrie Combs and Bettye Joe Thompson; one brother-in-law, Leon
(Alicestin) Thompson; twenty five grandchildren, sixty great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces,
