Bessie Gourley Wilkerson, 69, a resident of Hicksboro Road, passed away at her home Sunday, February 24, 2013.
A native of Swain County, the daughter of the late Harrison Gourley, widow of Thomas Wilkerson, a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired from Apogee Medical Company in Youngsville.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2013 in Creedmoor Cemetery by Rev. Jim Smith. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Rachel Sue Evans, a son David Harrison Evans, both of Henderson, her mother, Rachel Gourley of Stem, two sisters, Lillie Mae Hall of Florida, Shirley Neil Ellington of Stem and one grandson, Thomas Brent Evans.
