This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Bette Chesney, 93, born on September 30, 1923 and passed away on August 27, 2017.  Her mass of christian burial will be at San Antonio Catholic Church on Nov 6 2017 at 11:00am. The family would like to especially thank Harborview Acres, Inc. and Tidewell Hospice for the wonderful, kind and loving way they cared for Bette.  It is suggested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Tidewell Hospice.

She will be in our hearts and memories forever.

Sue and Cyndie and Family:

I have only fond memories of Auntie Betty. From the summer at Leaf Lake to trying on sample clothes from the business to her cute beloved pomeranians and walks down the block a few houses away from us when they lived on Ottawa. I think I recall her canning pickles. No? She had an infectious laugh and love of family. She was a real Bauer and is now playing cards with them all, Fritz serving up the drinks! Love and sympathy to you and your families.

It was an honor and a pleasure to get to know and care for you during your stay at Harborview. You were absolutely beautiful till the very end with your big beautiful smile and your laugh when you found a funny in something. We are happy you are with Fritz and dancing in the stars but, you will be surely missed.
Much love always to you and your family.

"Here is a flower for you Mom. You will always be in my heart. The memories are so many....You were such a great cook. I have many recipes that you made and still make many of them. You always made the Holidays and Birthdays so special! The summers at East Leaf Lake will always be special to me. Mike still talks about the great fishing there. My kids and your Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren will always remember you. All the great times celebrating birthdays and family gatherings in Florida. You are at peace now and with Dad. Love you and miss you.

Here is my candle for my Mom, Bette Chesney. She lived a long (almost 94) life with typical ups and downs, but on the whole good. She was a FANTASTIC cook, VERY pretty and worked hard to take care of me and my big sister Sue. She and Dad loved to dance, fish up at East Leaf Lake and cook and bake cookies and breads. I remember coming home from school, calling her at work and she would tell me what to do to start dinner with whatever she had taken out to thaw that morning. That's how I learned how to cook! Thank you Mom for giving us your all and loving us. I know you are free from pain now and with Dad. Love you and rest in peace, until we meet again.
