I never actually had the pleasure of meeting Bill in person but have been involved on numerous phone / FaceTime calls when travelling with Teri and Jodi. It always felt like he was apart of our travels and was loving it as much as us. Though I think it was the love for girls. I am sure Bill will continue to be with all of you in spirit each and every day. Thinking of you all. Viv xxx

What a wonderful tribute to Bill. He was such an inspiration and a source of optimism. We already miss him greatly. I only wish we had definitive treatments for this disease. He was defined by his life and his energy, even during sickness.

After reading this memorial to Bill, I now understand how Jodi became the woman she is. Jodi has many friends & loved ones, just like Bill. She makes time for everyone & like all the other Manby ladies, she leads a full, rich life. Bill did just that with his life. He led a life of brilliance & I see through Jodi and this memorial what an impact he has made. My thoughts are with you, Manby family.

Condolences to all the Manby Family,
Bill was my classmate in many high school activities - you will see many photos in the yearbook with both of us. Bill was an all around good guy. We also were roommates at the University of Buffalo our freshman year. I transferred to Penn State and we lost touch, but we both became Air Force officers.

I don't know how I first met Bill... it just seems like he was always there. And he was always there -- for me and for all his friends -- with a knowing smile and a kind word.  During our short time as business partners in Monterey, he taught me more about business, life, and family than anyone before or since. I'm so proud to have called Bill a mentor, a partner and a good friend.

I only knew Bill through Niki and now through this site. But I am familiar with his eye twinkle, big heart, and perseverance through 20 years of friendship with Niki. His legacy is lived out through the 5 women he left behind, and it is indeed powerful. May the God of peace guard your hearts and minds during this time, so you can still smile and laugh in his memory. Hugs from afar!

Dear Chaz, Nikki, Teri, Jodi and Lori,

Looking at this tribute to Bill, we are reminded of Christmas tree lots, Bingo, pasta dinners, etc. to raise funds for our schools. Bill tolerated all the craziness like a champ, and supported Chaz in his own quiet way. A wonderful gracious man and a great host we will miss!

When the Manby family relocated to Texas, Bill invited me to ride along in his Morris Minor (my first real exposure to a "CB" radio and it was on all the way...talking to the truckers. The Greyhound ride back to PA made memories to last a lifetime about interstate travel with the big dog.

Bill was smart, fun, practical, a leader, and a business partner who helped develop teams and change organizations. Bill, Dave Hume and I enjoyed working with teams at Nestle's Trenton Foods Plant, Phelps Dodge- Morenci, AZ, Quaker Oats, Compaq, and other companies where our consulting helped form great teams. Bill's said one thing he learned was- "if you want to go fast, go slow"
