Forever in Our Hearts

I am Furong Xing Naghten, who loves passionately and grieves intensely, I am not a professional or an expert on grief and loss, I am not a writer or an author, I am just an ordinary daughter, who writes and shares my personal grief journey, with the hope that it might comfort, help or inspire others on their own journey. I have inevitably discovered that people avoid talking about grief, and the elephant in the room that is shaped like pain, as it made me feel like no one understands what I have been endured, that is what brought me to writing, after the unexpected and sudden loss of my darling Mum, and I write through my heartache by pouring my pain into pages, I not only found my voice and my truth, but also writing my sorrow down and sharing my stories, is the only way that helped me to survive this impossible loss.

My name is Sai, and I am 23 years old. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UST – Houston and am a certified personal trainer, 1st Dan Taekwondo black belt, and Zumba instructor. With a deep passion for fitness and mental health, I created Sync’n with Joy, a YouTube and TikTok channel where I share workouts, mental wellness tips, and nutritional recipes. In April 2025, I founded ARISE FIT, a mental health nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and their families (ages 11–24), with a special focus on underserved populations, through movement therapy and holistic wellness.
