Ms. Bonnie Sue Mitchell “Ms. B” was born on January 29, 1950 in Chambers County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Eddie Lee and Ethel Lee Boyd Mitchell, Sr.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She was a product of the Chambers County School System where she attended Rehobeth High School.

She worked as a housekeeper until her health failed.

She departed this life on January 13, 2011 at the DeKalb Medical Center, Decatur, Georgia.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mattie Mae Mitchell; three brothers, Eddie Mitchell, Jr., Kary Claude Mitchell and Ike Flowers.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Veronica Yvonne Drake; one son, Rodrika Mitchell both of Decatur, GA; four grandchildren, Danarius Drake, James Holmes, Jr., Dequavious Mitchell, and Ja’Miracle Mitchell all of Decatur, GA; two great grandchildren, Damarcus Holmes and Jiquarius Drake both of Decatur, GA; two brothers, Isaac (Johnnie) Flowers, LaFayette, AL and Randy (Patricia) Flowers, Lanett, AL; three sisters, Martha Bradley, Lanett, AL, Doris Lee, Detroit, MI and Mildred (Homer) Heard, Lanett, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; including devoted friends, Betty Williams Tatum and Jimmie Ware Griggs.
