This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Brandi Vinson, 18, born on October 18, 1975 and passed away on January 7, 1994. We will remember her forever.

I met Brandi when we were in kindergarten. Brandi always had my back when people tried to keep me down. The day I moved away and could not visit with her was the hardest time. We continued to write letters and talk over the phone. Brandi became pregnant with Anita when she was 16 years of age. I was supposed to visit Brandi the weekend she and her daughter died. I could not afford a bus ticket. Brandi was a victim of domestic abuse and had been stalked by Anita's father. This happening was at a time when domestic abuse cases were not rising but becoming more recognized. There was little anyone could do to keep Brandi and her daughter safe. Brandi was 18 years of age and her daughter 18 months old when they were murdered. Please report domestic abuse. Stalking is against the law. Do not make false reports.

Brandi is buried with her daughter, Anita Vinson.
