Carl Arthur Petersen was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 24, 1942 to Opal Dallas Tyson and Arthur Clarence Petersen. 
There he lived with his younger sister Carolyn until the family moved to Dix Hills, New York.
He was a lifelong learner with a love for books and History. After graduating Suffolk County Community College and Adelphi University with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree, he worked as an Executive in the Budget Department for Suffolk County. 
Among many things, he liked music, and watching British Mysteries on T.V.
On Wednesday July 4th, 2018 he passed from Parkinson's at the age of 75 years. 
We will always remember the many happy times together.
