The indelible mark Carol created in our lives over 40 + years is not erased by this sad event.  Carol’s joy of life, sometimes tempered by the eventualities that befall us all, was never diminished. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She did indeed, love a party or to “stir things up” if things were a little “slow”. She and Bob frequently had a houseful (or boatful) of people. She was always gracious and giving and exhibited unwavering spirit in the face of her ultimate challenge. We miss her and will miss her always, but we are thankful for the place she and her family have in our lives and hearts.

Growing up at the Boland houses (StL and Lake) were always happy ones-- with Carol usually orchestrating something creative and/or mischevious.
