Mr. Charles “Mac” Bowles, 70 year old resident of Lanett, died Thursday, November 29, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Bowles will be held Monday, December 2, 2013, at 3:00 PM EST from the First Baptist Church of Lanett. The Reverends Ronnie Jordan and David Bradshaw will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 5:00 PM EST until 7:00 PM EST at McCarthy Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted of memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lanett.

Mac, I'm sure you overheard the thoughts being said about you the other day. Jeannie Smith and I wrote about stopping in Mansour's to see you and have a chat. It was always fun to see you and talk about things that were happening in our lives. You are still remembered and sweet thought follow your name. We'll see you one day and will catch up! Continue to be that light up above.

Chuck, I am so sorry you have lost your sweet daddy. When we came to LaGrange in 1972 your daddy was one of the first people that made us feel welcome. Dean went to buy a suit from him at the original Mansours store and it was the first money we spent in LaGrange. He had style and showed so much interest in his customers. I bet he was the best grandpa too. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.
