Dear Charlotte, you will be missed but never forgotten. It was a pleasure to be your coworker and friend for so many years. I can't walk thru the halls of the hospital without thinking of you.
In the few years I worked under Charlotte, she became such a trusted and valued friend. I will always remember and treasure the lessons of leadership and service I learned from her. Charlottes heart for serving others is the theme for her life, I feel. For the many whose life you touched, we love you!
I literally owe Charlotte my life. She brought air to my lungs with her magical and precious touch. Although, I don't remember my birth per say, she made a great impression on me from day one. Luckily her precious Amanda came to TVS and I got to have many more memories filled with love, laughter and maybe some anger in our teens...but she was a role model to us all, full of light and love.
Dearest Amanda.Your mother in law, my sister, just mailed me, that your dearest Charlotte now rest in peace. I know it has been "long journey" for her and for you.I hope you`ll find time to let all your good memories with Charlotte fill your heart with joy and love - knowing that you were there for her as she´d been there for you. Such lovely tributes to a lovely woman... taken from us all too soon. I have so enjoyed all 300 of the photos posted here and will share my favorites. Blessings of peace to the family.
I am struck in reading the tributes how she was in attendance at the birth of so many of our children. She came in to Harris, off duty of course, the night/morning our first child was born in 1984. She was such a comfort and made sure all was being taken care of as it should. Charlotte, you touched so many lives, and you will be missed so much. God bless your soul. Lewis
Charlotte was such a joy and such a help when you needed her. I consider it a privilege to know her and to count her among my friends. My contacts with her were all through St. Stephen, but I know she was out there in the world, too, working her magic. We love you, Charlotte. You've left a void in our world.
Charlotte was my nurse when i had my first child. She was such a calm and reassuring voice during turbulent times. Many condolences to her family. What a loss.
You were a very sweet woman. Wish I could have spent more time getting to know you. One thing is for sure, you were very much loved and will be missed. Rest in peace.
In life, I owed Charlotte a debt of gratitude that no amount of words or love between us could ever be re payed by me. She helped me co parent Rachel, Charlotte Lee and Amanda. We quickly realized if we put the kids 1st, we couldn't go wrong. We became very close and joked once that we could be on Oprah. I grieve for my girls, Jason, Marsha, Noel, myself and all those who loved her.
We got to know Charlotte after I joined Cantey Hanger; what a sweet, funny, warm lady! Imagine our delight when she was the charge nurse when we went to the hospital for the birth of our second son; what a surprise when she assigned herself to care for Julie! For so many reasons, we'll never forget her!
Dear Charlotte....My tutor in 7th grade Algebra! I would have never made it through our class without you. We shared a close friendship all through Jr. High and high school plus working on our class reunions every 5 years. You were at the birth of my first child at Harris Hospital as being on duty that early morning. Thanks for being a longtime friend! You will be missed!
Charlotte.. my heart dropped when I inquired about you at the reunion and was informed of your illness. I was so anxious to see you again. Never forget growing up with you in my classes, double dating with friends and having fun. I will miss you dearly, but I know you are in good hands. May God bless your family.
Charlotte will forever be remembered for her kindness and loving spirit. God Bless her sweet family and may they find peace in knowing she is dancing with the angels.
Charlotte was always thinking of others. She was there for me even when she was experiencing a rough patch in her life - I will never forget that. She was liked by everyone who knew her at Paschal. She will be dearly missed. Debbie Turner Monroe
Charlotte was a friend from many years ago. She was also present for our firstborn. In the morning, after her shift, she stayed to help. We will always remember that about her. What a generous hear! She touched so many lives. Cheryl and Mike
Charlotte only hired me 6 years ago but treated me like she had known me forever. Whenever I needed anything she always went out of her way to take care of things for me. Thanks you for all of your kindness. You will truly be missed.
Charlotte has been a dear friend through church, and we have shared so many special times. She was always willing to help in any way, and was a living example of her faith. Her positive attitude and strength were so uplifting, and she will be greatly missed. In the days ahead, I pray that her family finds comfort in her memory, and peace in knowing she is finally at rest.
Charlotte was such a dear friend throughout her life. She was so caring to visit our family at Harris after the birth of our grandson. She will be truly missed by all of those who knew her through the years! Prayers and blessings to her family! Cynthia Chapman Payte
My Little Charlotte I'd call you, and I was your Kimmy... I'm going to miss watching action movies, eating hummus or sitting on your back porch watching the birds. You taught me so much, and I can't believe I can't just pick up the phone and talk to you whenever I want. You will be missed my friend, but Never forgotten. All my Love
Charlotte was a wonderful person and smiled all the time. She had such a sweet and kind spirit, everyone who knew her enjoyed her. I am thankful to have known her and she will be missed. Praying for her family. God bless, Angella
Amanda Charlotte must have loved you so much to want you to take care of her. I know how hard that can be. I love looking at the pictures and am so glad I got to meet her at your wedding. Lots of Love Laura
