TRIBUTE TO A FATHER AND MENTOR
Daddy, I never thought I would be writing this tribute this soon, because you were so full of life when last I saw you at the hospital. Kemi & I took it for granted that you would be discharged and be back home within a few days.
You were such a great teacher, and I always tried to take a cue from you. There is no doubt that you helped form who I am today. I say thank you. I can never forget the day you called me to your room and told me “Gboyega you have to start paying me rent for staying in my house” I was very surprised and wondered why because what you asked me to pay was not substantial. I paid the rent annually, but you gave all the money back to me later. You simply wanted to teach me to be responsible, for this, I say thank you.
I had hoped to spend more time with you now that I have moved closer but that is not to be. Your departure has left a void, but I am thankful for the great legacies you left behind and in this I will take solace.
The children will miss the strict but loving ‘Grandpa Lekki’, they always looked forward to Christmas eve at Tiamiyu Savage and later at Treasure Gardens.
Adieu daddy, Rest in peace.

Chief FRA Marinho KSS

A remarkable man with a wonderful sense of humour. Down to earth, firm but surprisingly easy to engage with.

An accomplished man with many firsts in the Nigerian Oil Industry and he took the time to put his experiences in a book, “ Nigeria’s Petroleum Industry, a Maverick Pioneer: A recollection of My Life, Times & Contribution to Nigeria’s Prosperity .” A very readable book, informative, funny and thought provoking, quintessential F.R.A.

A true family man, Patriarch. He welcomed and adopted so many into his home and family. I doff my hat to Yeye Aro Olofin, a generous and gracious lady for flowing with his humanitarian spirit. A warm family the Marinhos. Chief lived his Catholic Christian principles to the full.

A thoughtful caring man. I remember how he came and sat by my side at my son’s traditional wedding ceremony. I was touched by his kind perception of my need for a father at such a time.

I will miss him. It has been a privilege to be a part of his Patriarchy. My condolences to the entire family

With a heavy heart I write to say how saddened I am to see me lose my darling uncle Chief FRA Marinho. Only if I knew I would have stayed a little bit longer on the phone on your birthday last December. He lived his life for the entire family both home and abroad. I wouldn't have been where I am today if not for him and God. Even after my retirement, he never cease to give the support that I need. I pray that his gentle soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord. And may his soul be accepted through the mercy of Christ our Lord (Amen). Omo orona omo elepo aran omo iyala asabo kege sun re ooo.

Big daddy FRA Marinho has been a loving father, and a solid rock during the life time of my mum late Abimbola Marinho. I have grown to be whom I've become today through his teachings and emulating his good ways. I never knew your last birthday we spoke will be the last time I will hear that beautiful voice of yours. He will be missed greatly because I will forever hold on to his words of advice in my heart . Keep resting in the Lord till we meet again.

Celebrating your legacy of exceptional values:

Daddy Olu, You had a very good memory and was always so engaging! Sometimes it took about 2 year before I will visit Olu, on his visits home, and you will remember where we left our last discussions!
I learnt some very good lessons on sincere companionship and service from you! You were always with Mum, seated on the sofa and conversing happily, just two of you! This was not built overnight! And I had the privilege to see it in action when Mummy was talking of an old friend of hers in Kumba – Cameroon. You knew details and helped her to re-collect memories!
You had counsel for everyone, building deep friendship with children just visiting and giving counsel to the parents!
It was always a fruitful time meeting with you during our short visits to Olu and later Olu & Tola.
Yes, you are gone physically but your legacy and exceptional values will keep speaking.
May these values keep inspiring and comforting Mum and the family in the pain of your departure.

TRIBUTE TO MY CLOSEST UNCLE

My uncle, Temidayo and Damilare's Big Uncle. You were my uncle/dad, you named my second son and did virtually everything a father would have done for a daughter on the day.
I grew to know you as a father figure, a disciplinarian and my cousins dad, with a kind heart and unreserved love for nit just your kids but many others.
I remember my holidays I spent at yours in Ikoyi as a young girl. The boiled eggs in the morning and us running to grab a magazine as soon as we hear you were back from work pretending to be reading something. as you wanted us to be somebody in life.
Then our time with aunty and yourself in London when you stayed with us during your vacations. Oh what beautiful unforgettable memories they were. Your generosity was without bound and your selflessness was out of this world.
My last hug from you was in Philly in 2020 during aunty's birthday in February. If only I knew it would be our last meeting, I would have held on longer and tighter too.
Oh my uncle. It's still unreal as I went through my photo album thinking it's all dreams and I will soon wake up from it.
Oh my Uncle. Igi nla wo. How much I prayed silently for you to recover and hoping that I will see you soon in Nigeria but God decided it was not to be.
My dad has no best paddy anymore. You loved him endless as you will visit both himself and my mum and chat for hours. My mum was unconsolable when she heard, still talking about your last visit in December to theirs.
Sometimes you wonder why this happens but we just have to take it that God wanted an Angel like you with him.
My prayer is for God to comfort and strengthen Aunty, your beautiful children, grandchildren and grand baby and families and friends during this period.
I have lost my closest uncle. My sons have lost their Big uncle but it is well with us all. May your soul rest in perfect soul uncle. Omo Onikoyi. Hmmm we love you but God loves you more.

In a nation where integrity is in short supply, the Lord blessed Nigeria with Chief FRA Marinho. He was simple, friendly, diligent in his service to the nation and in the development of the oil industry. A pacesetter, Chief Marinho was exceptionally devoted to the growth of the nation's oil and gas.

I remember when he was suddenly removed as NNPC's GMD by a corrupt Nigerian government for no credible reason he did not have to fight for himself; his integrity and good work fought for him and the Nigerian media stood behind him, which forced the government to restore him to his position. Chief FRA Marinho remained the best GMD NNPC ever had.

He was nothing compared to the recent corrupt, inept Hausa quota GMDs Buhari imposed on the state-owned oil corporation. Nigeria owe Chief Marinho so much gratitude for setting the nation on a path to oil wealth with transparency, integrity and hardwork. We will miss him dearly.

Dear Mrs Yetunde Marinho,

It is with deep sadness, but with gratitude to God Almighty for an impactful life, that we write to express our heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Old Boys Association of St Gregory's College, Ikoyi, Lagos at the passage of your very devoted husband, Chief Festus Remilekun Ayodele Marinho.

Your husband was a highly distinguished Gregorian of immense value and indeed he made substantial contribution to Nigeria's greatness in modern times as the father of oil and gas industry, the main stay of the nation's economy. Reports abound about his commitment and support for Gregorians throughout the course of his public service career. His brilliance and integrity dates back to his College days, his contemporaries recall a cherished memory of how he was among the three often chosen by teachers to assist with the collation of students' marks after college exams. Please take comfort and glory in the fact that your husband was devoted to the service of the Almighty God and the betterment of humanity. He impacted the world.

We pray that his cherished memories will always be a blessing to you, the family and many beneficiaries of his kind heart. May the peace and blessings of the Almighty God be upon you and your family, this is our prayer through Christ our Lord Amen.

Often what people see in front of them obscures the real essence of a person.
Your journey from hawking on the street to leading the NNPC already seems the stuff of fantasy , but that was you .
Complex , determined ,intelligent ,charming , yes all those things . Yet there was a part that was rarely seen , the insecurity that attended your successes , the pressures of your position professionally and personally.
We witnessed the ebbs and flows and appreciated you even more for it
You were the rock throughout our lives that grounded us and took us back to firm moorings when we were troubled . A constant , loyal ,reassuring ,presence .Never judging and always reminding us by your example of our values .
Now , still as ever ,we know you will be our guide when we again need a gentle push in the right direction . You are even deeper in our hearts and will sound even stronger when we seek you out there .

Thank you my father
Go well , my star
We will look for you in the heavens we know you are there .

Dear Daddy Marinho,

The morning I learnt of your departure, you were heavy in my thoughts. I woke up reminiscing how we both worked together to type your autobiography - Nigeria’s Petroleum Industry: A Maverick Pioneer, a Recollection of my Life, Times and Contributions to Nigeria’s Prosperity and Reflections on the Nigerian Oil Industry. I said a prayer of protection for you and mum and got on with my day. Sadly my day ended with the news of your departure - I was in pain! Daddy gone? Like how?

My thoughts earlier that day was filled with how you dutifully put all your ideas for your book on paper and worked through the days and nights on your laptop. I admired how keen and quickly you took on every bit of technology I threw at you in the process - Laptop, mouse, keyboard, flash drives, Norton antivirus, Microsoft word, internet, google, blackberry, blackberry messenger, standard PC maintenance - reboot, refresh, ctrl + V, ctrl + C, ctrl + K... everything! You rose to it and asked for more!! Daddy!!

I can only look back and celebrate you. You were loving, kind and generous. Your arms wide open to help, encourage and mentor. I am always so grateful and blessed for the few years I spent with you and mum from Tiamiyu Savage to Lekki. Thank you so much Daddy.

I always looked forward to our laughs and banter every night as i returned home after a long day of work. Seeing you and mum happy and well - made every 'o daro sir, o daro ma' memorable as i looked forward to the next day.

Thank you daddy, for every support, every word of advice. Thank you for expanding your space to take me in as one of yours.

I am grateful to God for the life you lived, your service to God, your nation, your family and everyone you reached out to help, support, encourage.

Rest peacefully Daddy in the bosom of our Lord, safe from all the troubles and pain all around.

We will all miss you so dearly but your legacy and memories will always be with us and no one can take that away.

Bye Daddy

Lots of Love from

Death is inevitable, it is a journey that everyone must take. Often times we wish death wasn’t a part of life, we wish we would just stay alive on earth with our near and dear ones not dying but unfortunately, we cannot. You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. Your dedication to a cause was what set you apart. For every institution you worked for, you laid the path for others to succeed.
The benefits of your hard work is a living testimony for so many young men and women you took under your wings at a personal and professional level. News of your death came as a shock to us and as you sit in the arms of the Lord, your family, friends and colleagues mourn your death. It’s all right as each of us have the Lord beside us as we say our farewells. Your body might be gone from this world but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Today we all mourn you in our own way as we pay a tribute to you.Our prayer is that we fulfill our days on earth and grow old before our time is up. May your gentle soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord till the day of accountability. Adieu Big Daddy Marinho

To the entire Marinho family.
I am deeply saddened by your loss of this incredibly great but humble man. I came to know chief personally caring for him overseas over the last several years. I was deeply touched by his candor, gentleness, integrity, fervent faith and love for God, wife and family. He became like a father to me and touched my life like I know he touched so many by his principled life and by his humbleness and generosity. I am privileged to be close to some of his children and grandchildren and I know his legacy is the fruit of righteousness which continues to shine brighter and brighter and will live on his children. I have no doubt he is in the Lord's presence resting from his labor with a crown of righteousness. I feel your loss like mine and I pray Almighty God will strengthen those he has left behind and comfort you all like only HE can.
Adieu and farewell Chief.

A FAREWELL TRIBUTE TO MY INDEFATIGABLE UNCLE (DADDY)
Daddy You’re one in a million. I’ve known you for ever as a Super Star and an illustrious Son of Lagos Island of the Brazilian descendants, whose star shone brighter and brighter to the end.
Uncle, you were indeed a strength and support to all that knew you. To Nigeria you gave your best and all, generations to come will hear and read of your sacrifices and accomplishments in the Oil Industry. To the Body of Christ, you would be remembered for your good deeds in building and giving. To the family at large you were selfless. Till you took your last breath, I know you would have been singing Hallelujah songs to your maker and planning on how to bless this generation. Kudos to you.
Sir, Chief FRA Marinho, the memories we have of you are sweet, from Ikoyi days to Victoria Island, Ogba and especially in New York, we had wonderful and good times. You were such a loving husband and wonderful father to your biological and psychological children alike. You were firm but kind hearted, of great integrity and dutiful, Role model per excellence. Oh my God, words alone can’t express the sweet memories we have of this Illustrious Son of Nigeria.
Daddy, you were so full of life and who would have known that the last celebrations we would have with you were your 60th wedding anniversary to your loving wife, Mummy Yetunde Marinho, and your 86th birthday anniversary on 30th December 2020, thank God I participated in both events from New York.
I have hope in Christ that you’re resting in the bosom of the Lord where we shall all meet to part no more, 1 Corinthians 15:19 “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” Oh how we shall miss you.
Daddy, you lived a fulfilled life and I’m thankful to God for the privilege to have known you and shared in your wealth of experiences. Thank you Uncle for being a blessing to all of us and mankind. Unforgettable, That's who you really are !!!. I join all with tears in my eyes to say Adieu and Good night Sweet sweet Dad/Uncle.

This Song is Dedicated to Celebrate the Life of Chief FRA Marinho in Christ Jesus
Wonderful story of love;
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love;
Wake the immortal strain!
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, oh, won’t you believe it?
Wonderful story of love.
• Refrain:
• Wonderful! Wonderful!
• Wonderful, wonderful story of love.
Wonderful story of love;
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love;
For all the pure and blest,
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus,
Wonderful story of love.

"Death be not proud" You just gave peace, liberated and showed my Uncle's soul to eternal life. He lived a life worthy of note, an accomplished technocrat, altruistic fellow, devote Catholic and a Papals Knight. You taught me so much and am a better person because of you.
You left behind a shoe so big to fill and your passing will greatly missed but we are consoled that you are indeed in a better place and we shall meet again to part no more.

I have so many fond memories of uncle; playing chess with him and my sister (even with it being 2 against 1, he would always beat us), waking up at 6am every morning for bible study and prayers (something I believe helped shape my Christian faith to this day) and so much more.
He was loving, caring and thoughtful; so full of life, wisdom, stories and humour. I'm so happy I got to see him at the zoom wedding anniversary and hear his speech which made us all laugh.
Dearest uncle, thank you for always being there for us. I take comfort knowing you are now resting peacefully with your maker. Your legacy will forever be in our hearts.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute to our beloved uncle (Papa Olu), disbelief and great sadness is the first thing that came to mind upon hearing of his passing.

Though we never played chess or squash I was intrigued by his love for fitness something that was in short supply in Nigeria. In the mid 70's he played a lot of tennis and remember when he visited London summer time. He enjoyed watching Wimbledon 4 players stood out for him Illie Nastasi, Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe & Bjorn Borg. Later in the 80's was when he upped the ante to squash a high intensity endurance workout. He found the trainers not challenging for him so he sparred with Olu, Femi and Bayo and it was his love for the sport that inspired me to enroll in 2 tennis classes at uni.

Now fast forward to the early 2000's I was motivated to pick up tennis again having remembered that uncle had played the same sport 30 years earlier, I now found myself teaching Tennis at Harvard U and Boston Athletic Sports club the same sport that uncle played and was fond of.

Because I knew uncle liked to keep body and mind sound he gave pep talks on eating healthy and not to take in food after 10 pm, it was his love for cardio fitness that motivated me fourteen years later at almost 50 to acquire a used mountain bike to stay fit and ride around Boston. Mid week in the evenings summer time I noticed some riders at Cassidy Park near where I lived, they had expensive bikes made out of carbon material, shoes that attached to the pedals and wore clothing similar to the Tour de France cyclists.

Surely I thought to myself that I would like to take endurance to another level, again I was inspired and motivated by uncle to go and talk with them and try what was known in the cycling world as group rides and was told to just show up by 6 pm. On the day, I was nervous and told to go with the leisure group for a distance of 20 miles and average 15 mph, so I embarked on this ride with about six riders. By the time we reached Boston College I found out there was nothing leisurely about the pace we were going and there was still 19 miles to go. Upon reaching the first hill I started to struggle and was given a push by ride leaders I finished last but it was unlike anything I had done before.

The Spring of the next year I started to train for 8 - 10 weeks for what would be my first 100 miles charity ride event 1st week in June using the same mountain bike and graduated to medium on the group ride using an old 80's steel bike. I would go on to do three more century rides by 2018. What I learnt from Uncle is that you can overcome obstacles, that perseverance and hard work pays off to attain your goals, the next century ride I organize or participate in will be dedicated to his memory.

His passing will be a great loss to Auntie, his children, grand children, nieces, nephews and everyone who knew him, you will be solely missed may you rest in eternal peace.

Tribute to my father Festus Remilekun Ayodele Marinho

My dearest daddy, I first and foremost give glory to God for your life which you lived to the fullest. Undoubtedly God’s Grace and favour was upon you, and you faithfully stewarded all that God invested in you for the benefit of your family, your friends, your fellow man, and your country.

Daddy, I am truly pained to be writing this now. You have been a constant presence throughout my life, and I thought we were going to spend many more years together. Nevertheless, we submit to God’s perfect plans, which, for now, require you to be with him, and the rest of us to remain here. Daddy, I take great comfort in the rich legacy that you left behind for all of us who knew and loved you: your love for God and for your family and friends; integrity and pride in your work; a heart of humility and service; and a big heart full of generosity to all. I know that as I embrace this legacy, your constant presence will remain with me and grow stronger. I am also encouraged that you are looking out for me in heaven, and in the fullness of time, I look forward to our great reunion.

Bye for now daddy.

TRIBUTE TO A GREAT MAN.
Death is a reality, but painful. Baba, even if you lived your life to the fullest, we still miss you. The Scripture says: "our life span is 70 years, but 80 for those who are strong" (Psalm 90,10) . You were among the strong because you passed 80 years in good health of mind and body.
On the 24th of December 2020, we enjoyed the celebration of your 60th wedding anniversary with Mummy via zoom, without knowing, that would have been our last celebration with you.
We entered into your life and your house six years ago when you celebrated your 80th birthday. Since then you have been part of us and we part of your family. You have followed with love and attention all our celebrations. You were the Chairman in 2017 when we celebrated the Inauguration of our Nigerian Delegation and Silver Jubilee of a Religious Profession.
You have been a pillar of support in realizing our maiden project, "construction of Passionist Nursery and Primary school Idomila, Ijebu Ode, which is at the decking stage. You were generous and compassionate. You welcomed and listened to us with attention whenever we visited.
We pray the good Lord to grant you peace, joy and eternal happiness because you laboured much on earth to merit paradise. We have no doubt that heaven is your reward. May your noble and gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
We rely on your constant intercession. Pray for us from above and we do same for you from here till we meet again. ADIEU DADDY.

As is customary on the occasion of the transition of a loved one, I write to convey, on behalf of my family and on my own behalf, our profound sympathy and solidarity with you over the death of your forthright father, Daddy Marinho. I must say I received the news of his passing, with missed feelings of sadness and gratitude to God. I was sad because we will miss his contribution and service to the work of the kingdom of God and his family, but I am grateful to God for such a life well spent in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.
There is the inevitable feeling of sadness that grips us when a dearly loved one has ended life’s journey and this is certainly the case with Daddy Marinho. We should nevertheless give thanks and praise to the Almighty God because he lived a fulfilled and deeply Christian life and we should draw some solace from knowing that Daddy Marinho left behind a good name and a worthy legacy.
We pray that the Almighty God will give the entire members of his family the strength and grace to bear the irreparable loss.
Adieu!

TRIBUTE TO OUR GREAT FATHER AND UNCLE OF INESTIMABLE VALUE.
The Marinho Family at ogba received the passing onto glory of a great father with shock and heavy hearts, but we take solace in the fact that he has gone to be with the Almighty God.
Chief F. R.A MARINHO you came, saw and conquered, and of course, fought gallantly the good fight of Faith and finished your course. (2Timothy 4:7-8) “You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, You kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give you at that day: and not to you only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
Uncle, the family is thankful to God for the opportunity of having a righteous, loving, hardworking Public Servant, devoted Catholic, caring father to a fault. Your role model and bridge building qualities have since metamorphosed all to a one big family. Uncle, come rain come shine you are always there for the family. Thank you for been the pillar of the Marinho Elepo Aran of Great Brazilians descendants. The love you showered on us cannot be quantified. Oh how we’ll miss you. I remember you and mummy visited my parents two days before my mum’s 90th birthday and a day to yours, you said your coming was to avoid crowd and traffic jam on that day been the last day of the year. You are so full of life that day and even said the parting prayers. We pray that the Holy Spirit, the Great Comforter will continue to comfort the entire family.
You shall be greatly missed but our consolation is in the fact that you are in the presence of the Lord with the Angels and Saints. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mummy, our cousins and their children and the entire family. "Omo Elepo aran, ako'bi oyi s'ogun ako 'bi oro si bata"-
"Eso 'koyi, agbon ti o r'iku sa"
"Omo olofin agbo dere"
"Omo osupa le a ni ko gun to, eni owo re to ko re tun se "
Omo agba ti'nya 'run"
Until we meet to part no more. Eternal rest grant onto him and let perpetual light shine upon him, Amen.
On behalf of my Dad and mummy, Amb Laide, Ronke, Shade, Jide, Gboyega, Shola and the entire Marinho family at Ogba.

With a deep sorrow and a great sense of sadness, I'm writing this, my dear Uncle (Papa Olu as we fondly called him) was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle to us all!! His passing came as a great shock to me, my parents (especially my mum,his younger sister) my siblings and my children, we all loved him so much for how caring, loving and encouraging he was. He was always there for me, my family and for so many people that he touched their lives! It seems just like yesterday that I greeted him for his birthday and Anniversary in December. Uncle we thank God for your life, well spent and all your great achievements and all the love and support you have given us all. But we know that you are in a peaceful place with our Lord, may God comfort Aunty and all the family during this sad time. I pray that may your gentle and loving soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Your niece, Biola Disu( nee Ashenuga)

I struggle to process the fact that you, dear Uncle, are gone. You were always a constant presence in my life. I have so many memories of you encouraging and supporting in every way. The memories span the routine to the milestone events: epic Chess battles as a youngster (I had a lucky start but you soon got the measure of me); my wedding in the middle of America (“how does one get to Sioux City, Iowa?”); the birth of my twins in Florida. I remember when you met Liz for the first time (we were just engaged) and you took us on a tour of London and gave her a sense of the family she would be joining-that would include trying to find Mass the day after Olamide’s wedding in Stellenbosch despite the very late Saturday night-there was no cutting corners with one’s faith. Every meeting with you was an opportunity to participate in the best of conversations or receive a wonderful gift. You taught the importance of a well-informed mind and well-articulated arguments. The cufflinks you gave me for my 30th birthday have generated countless compliments over the years. Your mind was big, but your heart was even bigger. It’s so hard to say goodbye but I see your smile and hear your laugh which provides me some comfort. We all love you, we all miss you, but we know you rest with the Lord. Rest in peace Uncle (Papa Olu).

Heaven has called upon you today,
leaving so many words left to say.
But now it's too late, for your time has come.
Words unspoken - I am sure everybody has some.
Regrets and wishes are probably there too,
but lasting forever are memories of you.
I was there when you needed a place to stay,
just like you would be there for me night or day.
There have been many times that we disagreed,
but we were there for each other in time of need.
Now it's time for me to say goodbye,
until we meet again in heaven to fly.
Good night papa olu

Ignatius Mosunmade Adegunle

I wish to convey my deepest condolences to you upon the death of my brother Late Chief Festus Remilekun Ayodele Marinho

Late Chief Festus Remilekun Ayodele Marinho was more than a brother to me. He cared for everybody. Many people confided in him as he W. full of wisdom, knowledgeable and resourceful. He was a role model to me and many other men in the Church and the Society. He was of exemplary character, full of vigour and his dedication to God and his people is worthy of emulation. He was somebody that his absence will be felt for long because he always put others before himself. He does not tolerate dereliction of duty. All he had in his dictionary was success. He was every inch a Catholic. He loved and related well with all his friends till his last days. He was an astute professional, who practised his profession to the best of his ability and used it for the betterment of the church and his people. He was an Icon who impacted on many lives positively during his life on earth. He will be sorely missed.

I pray that God Almighty will grant him eternal rest in his abode and his family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Adieu Chief FRAM

We deeply commiserate with you on the Glorious Home Call of the Head of your Family, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, CHIEF FESTUS REMILEKUN AYODELE MARINHO KSS, OFR, Former Twice Group Managing Director of NNPC.

We are loss for words due to shock and disbelief at passing of a Family friend who was truly a father figure in our family being a close friend and confidant of our Late Father Chief Popo Balogun former Chief Executive and Managing Director of Phillips Oil Company.

Chief Marinho served the Federal Government of Nigeria like a battle soldier. He left no one in doubt that he was an honest ethical officer in an industry in which many only set their sights in securing oil fields and other riches for themselves. He was loyal and disciplined. He was religious and humane even to officers whom he knew did not put their hearts into serving Nigeria like himself.

His one excess was in selfless service to Nigeria.

On earth Chief Marinho conducted himself like a saint, so he will receive an everlasting welcome amongst the angels in Paradise. Merciful God, send your calm peace and condole this Marinho Family. Grant them all the courage and fortitude to bear this loss. Amen

Rest in everlasting Peace in Paradise. With deep sympathy,
