Chris was a friend, who through his almost single-handed efforts with LGG over 10 years ago, introduced me to friends in Leicester. Always generous with invites to dinners and parties at his house; something I regretfully never reciprocated! So, almost a year after his passing, what better way to say a belated thanks than planting a tree in his memory on the Thai island of Koh Samui.

Chris, it is 12 months since you left us. 12 months without your smile, your friendship, your wit and your humour. You are always in our memory. Janet and Derick

It was always great to see Chris's smiling face at rehearsals, always being cheerful and welcoming to everybody. I will always remember the laughs of both having to wear the funny owl costume and so many other memories. You will be greatly missed. xx

Such a lovely person! I didn't know you all that well, but the times I worked with you on shows and the after show parties, you were such good fun to be around and that cheeky grin of yours - hard not to smile with you! Much love, Stacy x

For the times that we met, talked, drank wine, ate cheese and laughed at the ridiculous thing that we call life. I adored Chris for every moment. So very sad that I will never have those times again. So very glad that I did. Jxx

CHRIS MARLOW

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of our dear friend Chris.
Chris joined the NQSC in its first year and has always been one of its most active members. All of our productions and events over the last ten years have
benefited immeasurably from his dedication. As a long standing member of
the committee he contributed in ways too numerous to list.

The NQSC owes him a debt of gratitude for his steadfastness, his hard work, his generosity and above all for the devastatingly dry wit that always brightened the day and made us laugh.  His quiet dignity in a number of roles will be remembered, as will his willingness to wear an owl costume or suspenders if required!

Chris was respected as an actor and director, admired as a writer and loved as
a friend by all of us in the New Quorndon Shakespeare Company who were
privileged to know him.
