Christine Haugabrook was born August 21, 1925 to Shelby and Genie Mae Clay (Marshall) in Wetumpke, Alabama. Christine departed her earthly life on August 11, 2019.

Christine was baptized at age 27 at Revelation Baptist Church.In 1983,
she joined (by profession of faith) the Clifton Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Christine attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Woodward
High School. She attended and graduated from the Poro School of Cosmetology where she pursued training in Cosmetology.At age 21, she married Fred Haugabrook in 1946.They were married 71 years before Fred passed away in April 2017.Together they were sole proprietors of F & C Grill (F & C stands for Fred & Christine) having four locations in the greater Cincinnati area. Christine’s culinary skills were legendary and word of mouth attracted celebrities such as Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald who frequent their restaurants when they performed at different venues in Cincinnati. During 1959, Christine resigned from the restaurant industry and opened her first full service hair salon with her husband Fred, which was in operation for several years.

Christine loved her family and traveling.She and Fred would travel across the country to different cities seeking out family members, taking as many children and grandchildren as possible on various vacations and annual family reunions.
Christine was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.She exude love and kindness to everyone she came in contact with. Her earnest desire was to leave a spiritual legacy for her family.She loved Jesus Christ and wanted to exemplify His character.She wanted many to be saved and become a follower of Jesus Christ.
Christine leaves to cherish, brothers Clarence Clay, Willie, Clay and Percy Marshall, Jr. sisters, Betty Collins and Bobbi Grevious; son Vincent Haugabrook; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband Fred and sons Fred R. Haugabrook and Gregory L. Haugabrook, Sr.
