I have so many great memories of you I remember one time we was up at Steve Duns up on the back hill and me and you got into a wrestling match and you had me down and I rich behind you and grab you by the underwear and they ripped Mikey was there with us and he said look what you did you ripped underwear off of him there's just so many great memories I could go on and on he was never too busy to stop and say hi offer a helping hand and you was very hard working man if there was more people like you in this world it'd be a lot better place I will truly miss you rest in peace my friend

LeeRoy and I always thought of JR as a friend who would help anyone who needed it and always had a smile on his face. I remember one weekend after we all finished putting up hay and were eating. This was the first time Jr had tried my hot peppers and wieners . He ate amost the whole jar. Gonna miss his laugh. RIP

JR was one of the best brother in law a girl could have. He took his Indiana nephews and nice and taught them to love the hills. He was kind gentle and one of a kind. RIP Jr

JR you was a great man! One of the best men we ever knew! We will forever love and miss you! I could just go on and on about our memories with you! But just to name a few, those times I let you and Big Scotty put me in your homemade wooden box on the front of the tractor and go up the hill and hung out and feed the cow, The countless times we gardened together ,My son will always remember you guys hunting and cruising the back roads in the old ford and on the bikes. This is such a sad tragedy and I am so sorry!! R.I.P. Our friend!!! We will always hold you in our hearts and forever spread the word of the great man you was!!!

I never meet JR. I know a lot of the Layfield's . And I seen JR. around a few times, but never got to meet him, I feel like I have missed something ,By not knowing him. May he rest in peace, Prayers for him and his Family.

One of the "Original Good Ole Boys" from Cairo, always had a smile on his face an willing to help anyone.. Sure had alot of good times at the old trailer drinking homemade wine back in the day..! RC is a lesser place without ya..
