Consuelo P. Mendoza, a longtime resident of Floydada, died Sunday April 7th at University Medical Center in Lubbock after an illness.

Born in 1948 near San Benito Texas. She moved to Floyd County at a very young age.

She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and served others in various roles throughout her life. She enjoyed attending church and especially singing in the choir. She was a member at Templo Getsemani Assembly of God church in Floydada. She also enjoyed watching her children, as well as her grandchildren grow up.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Josephina Peralez and her son Gabriel Mendoza Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy Rando (Tony) of El Dorado, AR, her son Marcelino Peralez Mendoza of Floydada and grandchildren Stephen Anthony Mendoza of Floydada, Chelsea Nicole Rando of El Dorado, AR, Martika Shane Kistler (Matthew) of Attica, IN and Jaidyn Kade Johnson of Wichita Falls, TX.
