Although I have not seen Cindy for many years I have fond memories of growing up with her as a next door neighbor and childhood friend. Even as a child she was confident, outgoing, curious, adventurous, intelligent, and an animal lover. The photograph of her reading with dogs typified her childhood habit of being a voracious reader and cuddling with her cat Tiger. Climbing trees, playing softball, creating a neighborhood newsletter, putting on July 4th pageants, going to the Minnesota State Fair with Cindy’s father, listening to musical albums on the Fischer’s record player were some of the activities in which we engaged as kids. It was a privilege to have been her friend.
With sympathy to Cindy’s survivors, Sharleen (Weinberg) Goldberg
I will miss her.
I will miss you forever
As you well know, Ted and I owe our daughter Iliodora to you!
You've been her (and our) fairy godmother, and your smiling, magic touch has accompanied us ever since.
With my sincerest condolences to you Lan, my deepest gratitude and my true love,
Cecile
She was not only my flamenco student, but a inspirational friend.
My heart is broken. She will be missed by everyone she knew !!
She was a giving ,wonderful lady that will always live in out hearts !
One other enormous passion for Cynthia, was the world of dance in today's culture. In this regard, as so many of us know, Cynthia was unique in her expertise and formidable generosity. She adored our beloved and inimitable Maestro Zsedeny and was enormously helpful and endlessly giving to him during his final years. Cynthia and I shared so much time in ballet class together with others, that daily classes turned into years and like most families we all drifted in and out of each others' lives during the high and low points of very important personal milestones. Although at the time we were all largely unconscious of anything and anyone but ourselves; these moments are forever sacred for me and I know for others as well.
Cynthia was a very special, warm, and generous woman whose love of her friends and love of life was deep, nuanced, courageous and big like the very best people any of us have ever known.
I will miss her and her memory will be a blessing for us all.
