Even though i never really got to build a relationship with you as my cousin, i really wish i had because from what it looks like you were a bright young man with big dreams and a free soul. Dakota, you were a rascal, a child no one could tame. You lived free and loved every minute of it. You had a big heart and we loved you and your smile. I'll never forget you playing in our yard jumping on the trampoline and swinging on the swing set, coming to birthday parties, or skating in the road. And let's not forget the ice cream truck crazies with you and my boys lol sponge bob ice cream was the best...

Out of all the memories I have of dakota the one that sticks out the most is when he first got to meet and hold his one and only nephew. He was so proud to be a new uncle. He was so excited and afraid to hold him. It is when kayden first came home from the NICU. He sat on my couch and introduced himself. He told kayden he kid what's up. I'm your uncle. And he told him all of the amazing things he was going to teach him like skateboarding and givin me a run for my money. Dakota you were so full of life and loved every second of it. Out of the short 19 years you were on this earth you made every second of it count. I wish the world could have gotten to see more of your shine but what we did get to see will never leave our hearts.

And how as a 5th grader we watched Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader on the phone together. You having the correct answer to almost every question.
