For my dear classmate - I think of you often and the many memories we had attending school together. You were always full of wisdom and love even as a youngster. I am grateful that we got the chance to reconnect. Looking forward to our next reunion!

Dear Darlene: You are my sister in Christ. We met through Facebook last winter. I am so glad to have known you for a short period of time. My heart hurts so much because I will miss you. You were a tower of strength for me at times and we laughed a lot too. I know you don't hurt any more and that you are with Jesus running and singing to Him. Tears. Love you, Vicci :-)

"Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of one of His Saints!"
Darlene was a good and true friend. I am still reading her emails and the private messages that she has sent to me on facebook within the past year. She was a precious jewel. Our lost is definitely heavens gain! She will be missed. My prayers are with you!

Sky Blue Gown

April 23, 2012

One of my fondest memories of my sister Darlene is that I was going to a dance which I had to wear a certain color (sky blue) gown.  Due to the fact I want to stand out from the rest, I went to Darlene who loves to sew and made a lot of her own clothes which you would think she bought them from high-end department stores.
Darlene and I sat out on a mission the find the right material and color as well pattern. It has to have a split I told Darlene and I wanted it to be a "thigh high" and form fitting. My sister Darlene made my gown in just two days and "yes" that famous split fell just where I wanted.
