hi poppop!!
so many things have happened since i’ve last wrote.
i know you’re probably watching us always, but i found mason. he’s amazing. he wants his own auto shop after college and i told him all about yours and showed him the pictures. he plays football, an excellent lineman.
i’m finally driving! mama says i have a fast foot. maybe i should take up racing like you haha. i wish you were here to convince dad how much i need a truck too. i’m telling ya poppop. i need it.
also, i’m an aunt!! can you believe it?? god i’m so excited! aliyah is the most beautiful baby ever, i wish you were able to meet her. you’d be so proud of tyler now.

Hi pop pop!
It’s been a rough two month to say the least. High school girls are crazy!
I’m getting a tattoo of you for my 16th birthday. I’m so excited. Tyler’s doing so I’m sure it’s gonna be so cool.
There’s a lot of advice I could use right now. Like why are the cute boys with the loud trucks the stupidest? Why are social studies teachers so old and annoying? What really is the point of geometry?
Anyway.. I’m in medical now for tech school. I want to study to be a maternity nurse and I hope your up there helping me with every test I take cause they’re too damn hard poppop.
I’ll come visit you soon. I promise
I love you more than anything

dear poppop,
as i sit in my bed listening to drowning by chris young all i can think about is you. nanny gave me your racing charm bracelet and the heart necklace you gave her. i wear them everyday and sometimes (usually) they get me through my hardest days.
that boy, connor, we didn’t work out. every night though i secretly pray you’ll send him a sign or something to come back. fortunately he’s still my bestfriend just like he was before we got together. and i still believe you would love him.
i hope to come to your grave before or on christmas, maybe i’ll ask uncle jaime to take me i know he’d understand and give me some time to talk to you alone. i asked daddy for a canvas portrait of your race car to hang on my wall. it’ll go right next to my bed.
im sorry i keep messing up, you could’ve warned me that teenage years were gonna be filled with heartbreak, horrible school work, and annoying girls.
i love you more than anything. so dang much.

hi poppop. the past month or two have been filled with missing you. i wish i could’ve spent more time with you, talked to you more. maybe it would’ve made it harder but then again, maybe i wouldn’t be so sad now knowing i got to see you a lot.
i met a boy, his names connor. he races cars like you did. i think you’d really like him.. daddy agrees.
anyways. i hope everything’s fun up there for you, and as of the bad choices i’ve made in my life that you’ve seen. i’m sorry for them. i’m making it better. i love you.

Mr. Posavec, I will always remember what you said about having heart and try to live by that notion everyday in my life for it has gotten me through many tough times, even the time of sitting at Grandview with the dirt flying in my teeth :) Your son will always be a dearest friend and we miss you greatly. We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Posted by Bernadette Posavec on March 8, 2011
A bouquet of beautiful memories, sprayed with a million tears, wishing God could have spared you, if just for a few more years. It does not take a special day, for us to think of you, each Mass we hear, each prayer we say, is offered up for you. We cannot bring the old days back, when we were all together, our family chain is broken now, but memories live forever.
