Deborah Couch, 51, of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away on October 2, 2014, at home from complications of metastatic triple negative breast cancer.
In the last weeks of her life, she was surrounded by beloved friends, family and pets.
Deborah worked as a paralegal in a law firm, as an immigration manager at Dow Jones, and most recently, made a mid-life career change to become a health and fitness coach. She had many interests, including photography, film, literature, creative writing, and baking. She was an avid sports enthusiast. Her favorite sport was baseball and she carried on a life-long love affair with the Yankees. She loved international travel and domestic travel. She had a special affinity for all kinds of animals and fostered cats for many years, some of whom she adopted. She enjoyed designing and working on household improvements.
Deborah is survived by her parents Richard and Elsbeth Couch, her sisters Karen Eager and Barbara Couch Glosser, and brother Richard Couch, nieces Carrie and Reilly Eager, Tina and Samantha Glosser and nephews Gregory, Christopher and Nicholas Couch and CJ Glosser, by her wife, Phyllis Warren and Phyllis’s family. She is also survived by many friends who found in Deborah a loving, kind and generous person who was funny, light-hearted and creative. Donations may be made in Deborah’s name to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
