Love and memories last forever...
Denise Menold (Wood), 57, of South Harrison, New Jersey passed away in her home, January 16th, surrounded by her loving family and friends.   Denise was born on September 21, 1960, the youngest daughter of Eleanore and Raymond Wood. She grew up in Bellmawr, but later moved to South Harrison Township, NJ where she had lived since 1985.

She is survived by her husband Brian, three of her four children (Amanda the oldest died in April of 2011), Courtney, Elana and Max, and three wonderful granddaughters, Mercedes, Seyanne and Carina. She was also blessed with several siblings, sisters Anita Murphy of Sicklerville NJ, Linda Sheppard of Myrtle Beach SC, Delores Breitwieser (deceased) of Laurel DE and Joanne Mignona of Williamstown NJ. Her two brothers are Steven Wood (deceased) of Vevay IN, and Peter Wood of Somerdale NJ. She met her best friend, Laura Hoffman, in high school and they remained best friends throughout Denise’s life.

Denise and Brian were married on June 16, 1979 and were blessed with their four children. Denise's life was centered around her family and her community. She began volunteering at South Harrison Elementary School, which all four of her children attended, and eventually became an employee. She found her true passion and love amongst the children she worked with. Denise enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family most often to her favorite place Cape May. You could find Denise alongside her four sisters laughing and enjoying life in Cape May every October and often frequented the town with her husband, children, best friend Laura,  her husband and children. Denise also planned many other wonderful times for family and friends including travel to Europe with Brian, vacations to Disney World, other parts of the country, as well as parties throughout the year with close friends and family.

Services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made, in her honor, to Samaritan Hospice, who so lovingly cared for her in her final days or The American Cancer Society.
