....It's still surreal that you're not here. I often think of our last conversations. I celebrated your birthday with you, the day before your birthday, as I had to prepare for my trip to Egypt the following day. I don't remember how the subject of Times Square came up but I promised you that, when I returned, I'd take you on a ride down Broadway through Times Square as you said you hadn't been there in years. And to end the evening, a trip to Katz's.
I'm thankful we had several conversations while I was in Egypt and I knew you would be only one of the very few who would be excited and interested enough to ask me about my trip.
We talked about planning a trip to your hometown the following spring. I told you...let's rent a car and just drive to wherever the roads took us.
I'm very sad that we never got to do that....but most of all, I'm very sad that you left us too soon. My God....you were only 97!!!  Enfotte.
