Making Shortbread...
When Faither visited me in Saudi for a holiday, I was trying to make some shortbread for a Burns Supper we were invited to and failing at misterably. I went for a nap and when I woke up Faither had made the most amazing shortbread, it was gorgeous. When I told him I didnt know he could make shortbread and and asked why he had kept that a secret he said "are you kidding, if your mother had known I could make that she would have expected that all the time".
Getting me out to work..
When I had just started working and living at home, "Faither" used to make my tea and toast going out to work, and while I sat in the warmth eating and drinking (in Winter), he would go outside and turn on my car, warm up the engine, then scrape all the car windows so all I had to do was step outside and into a nice warm defrosted car. He would do anything for anyone.......
