Only you would so understand why I'm a day late in doing this! Life gets in the way of life...No wonder we enjoyed our cruises so much, it was our time to just BREATHE!!! I miss you so much my dear sister, my BFF, a year has passed since you left this world to go find a better place! I love that you are always watching over me, I know you are there! I miss hearing your laugh! What do you think you'll get me to buy this year? Last year it was the camel, LOL My heart will always be broken until we meet again, face to face.  :(

A year later Dona and we miss you as much as we did last Christmas...if not more. I know you've been looking over us this last year, and you're taking care of our Sedona girl now.

Dona will always be remembered.

It was 1 year ago that I would see my sister for the last time. I never said goodbye to her only "so long"! They say time heals, but I guess a year just isn't enough for me!
Love and miss you so much Sis!

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since Dona was with me in Florida, getting on the transplant list at Florida Hospital. We had so much hope for her receiving a liver! Trying to accept God's plan is not the easiest thing for me to do! I sure do miss you sis!

I hope on this fine day you are floating on a cloud, with an umbrella drink and a smile. We will always remember and celebrate you this way, forever. Love and miss you!

I only met Dona once and felt an instant kinship. I know her well thru her sister, Dannette, and have shared, through stories, of some of their escapades!!! God bless you Dona. You were great neighbors and we loved Dona immediately. She was always smiling and bubbly and so much fun. She included me in her holiday cookie bake party while in LLQ and it was a great time full of laughs and good eats. We stopped by her shop awhile back and she looked great and was so optimistic about her health status. I am so saddened to realize that was my last conversation with her. Kristin and I say almost everyday that we cannot believe she is gone. We miss her easy smile and quick for a laugh personality. She was a beautiful lady that we had a lot of fun and laughs with. Jim and I met Dona in December, 2011 at her Cosmopawlitan Boutique. We took our two furry friends, Gidget and Gizmo, almost every weekend to play with Mia. We always looked forward to seeing Dona and Mia and will miss them so very much. Dona always made our weekends bright and cheery!

Dona and I started our businesses on El Paseo at the same time and became fast friends as we sent customers back and forth to each other and compared notes about our little shops. I miss her deeply and will always remember her radiant smile and loving personality. What a beautiful tribute page and beautiful photos. I am friends with Dona's sister, Dannette and brother-in-law John. I only knew Dona via F/B and our mutual love of animals and helping them. It takes a special soul to help the helpless, and God needed that soul home. I'm sorry for the family and fur kids left behind, but this is not good-bye. Hold on to that thought as you go thru these difficult days.

I really didn't get the chance to know Dona. But what I do know she was a great sister to one of my best Friends Dannette. Dannette couldn't stop talking about her when we used to hang out!! My prayers our with you and your Family!! God Bless!!

Dona was my step mom for all of my life. She always knew how to brighten up a room w/ her warm smile and love for laughter. I would say these last 4 years I've been out in the desert I really got to bond with her & enjoyed that she was able to build a special bond with her grandbabies Hayden & Holly. Hayden is the first grandchild and will always be her favorite. We will miss you everyday and think & talk of you daily. That is my promise to your gandbabies. We love you Dona! Rest in Paradise.

December 22nd will always be a sad day in the lives of those lucky enough to have known Dona. Dona was our sister-in-law and although we did not get to spend near enough time together, the times we did spend together were always special.  Dona touched us all with her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, sense of humor, compassion and generosity that would not quit. Mark and I said our Aloha to Dona by gathering flowers from our yard and placing them, along with many tears, into the ocean at sunset on 12/23. It was a fitting way to say Aloha to a wonderful lady who loved the beauty of tropical flowers, the warmth of the ocean and the beautiful Maui sunsets. Dona, you will be in our hearts and missed forever.

Dona was my stepmom for most of my life. I will always remember her going all out on holidays. I always looked forwarded to our stockings even as an adult. She always made sure everyone had a great time when we celebrated events. Her laughter and smile will be greatly mussed. Logan and I pray every night you are looking down on us with a smile.

Fond and loving memories I hold in my heart of our time together. Rest in peace. You will be missed.

I met Dona in the early 1980's when Karen introduced us. She lived in the same complex as we did. I can still remember her beautiful apartment with all kinds of house plants. It was homey and warm and pretty. She was just so nice and welcoming. I was so envious. I wanted to be just like her...so warm and kind and not shy like me. I was going to tell her that story and so much more. I am so sorry I didn't tell her long ago. I will miss her always.

First of all that is a fabulous picture of her! My fondest memory was my Mom's first cookie party at the mobile home. She had so much fun & of course Dona treated her like they were old best friends! She was warm, caring & compassionate. Tom ... please try and take care of yourself during this grueling time. We are sending strength and love to you.

As long as I have know the Thorman clan I have seen you all as my family as my brothers and sisters. When I heard that Donna fell ill I prayed so hard I think harder than I have in a really long time. Both Tom and Donna opened their home to me. Donna always had the beautiful infectious laugh and smile that just lit the room up. You will be missed but never forgotten your memory will live in each one US that had the great pleasure and honor to meet you. I continue to pray for my Thorman family everyday.

So sorry to know such a sweet and kind person like Dona leaving us so soon. May God be with her. With our deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow to you and your family.

Tom I hope that your family is helping you through this tough time. Although I am not one of your kids I have always considered you a second father and always was appreciative of you and Dona involving me in your Christmas Eve traditions.
