A note to let you know, Donnie has not or ever will be forgotten. He was a friend, that no matter how much time had passed between seeing each other, his friendship never wavered. Stevie, I think of you often, and I hope you know that you are a very special person, I am sure you are surrounded by loving family and friends, and therefore not alone. I keep you in my prayers for continued strength, perseverance and wisdom as you continue to travel through life's journey. Donnie's love will be with you always, safely kept within your heart and memories. Hugs to you. Cheri aka Cheryl

Donne and I worked together side by side at the main office of Bethlehem Steel Corp, at Front and Swatara Streets for many, many years. We would sometimes use the men's restroom (great acoustics) in the basement to harmonize oldies - our special one was Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang" - we could burn that one for sure. When Donnie knew I had no car and was walking back and forth to work, among other things, he gave me his old '53 Buick that his Dad gave him. All I had to do was tow it away from his yard and get it running. There's more to this, but long story short, he had a heart of Gold and a personality to match. There will never be another one like him. Friends are hard to make and come by, and I truly miss his friendship. What a great guy..

Oh, man..... my parents just told me about Don's passing. I'm so sorry to hear that. I always liked spending time at your house- although, I have to admit I was a bit intimidated at first. I thought he was a "tough cookie" and I desperately wanted him to like me. As I got to know him, I realized he was a big ol' softie who wanted his kids to succeed in life and make the most of their talents. He had a tremendous musical gift and love of performing, which he passed on to Todd and Erin; and a great sense of humor. He liked to yank my chain a bit because I was easily fooled and took people at their word. Every now and again I'd catch that twinkle in his eye that let me know he was just teasing me a bit for some fun. Much love to you all in this difficult time. --Megan

Donnie was the "First Friend" I had at Bethlehem Steel, in 1968, after returning to Steelton from the war. We worked side by side in "The Big Office" next to each other. He was such a good friend, that he sold me my first car - that 1963 Buick that sat in his Dad's back yard. Every time I drove it, I always had thoughts of him. Rest well my Friend and may God forever Bless and keep you in His loving care.

Dear Stevie & family, I am so saddened for you and for all who Donnie has touched with his music, his smile, his sense of humor and his dynamic, winning personality. I have wonderful memories of days long ago when we were all young at SHHS and having the joy of working together to produce Broadway musical plays together. I pray that God will bless each of you with comfort and strength. May your memories of Donnie always bring smiles to your faces and warm loving feelings in your hearts. I know my memories of him will definitely do just that. Rest in peace Donnie - see you in a while!

So sad to hear of Donnie's passing. Had the privilege of working with him at NAVICP and so enjoyed his humorous way of letting me know that I didn't complete some forms correctly! Also watching Donnie perform with Pastime ... hard to believe we just lost Gary Loper weeks ago, and now Donnie has joined him ... am sure they are both making great music up there in Heaven! Prayers to his family in the loss of a great guy.
