Dear Family, I remember when Ron and Babs and Doris and Al lived in Sacramento. Ron was in the Air Force then. The first time I met Doris I was ten. I was living in San Jose then, and my mom used to let me stay with Ron and Babs for a few weeks during the summer. Doris was always so sweet to me. I'm glad she was my sister-in-law. Love you Ron. Mara

Doris was the first person outside of family Marie met after coming to Colorado Springs three and a half years ago. She and Ron became best friends of ours, and as loved as family. She was a wonderful, loving person. She must have been God's best friend, too, since He took her to be with Him. We'll miss her very much.

My grandma Doris was a caring, loving, wonderful person. I was so lucky to have such a great influence while growing up and I'm glad I got to be with her on her last days of this life. I'll always remember her and the great times we've shared on holidays, birthdays, camping and other special occasions. I love you grandma.

Angila and I had such a good visit with you both on our way to South Dakota, few years ago. As I said to you before Ron, words can not express the loss of a wife, best friend and soul mate. She is at peace now, and her wonderful memories will live on in everyone she touched. We love you and hope to see you soon.

A LIFE WELL LIVED

August 9, 2012

I received this sympathy card from one of our customers at work.

A life well-lived

   is a precious gift

of hope and strength and grace

from someone who has made our world

  a brighter place.

It's filled with moments sweet and sad,

  with smiles and sometimes tears,

with friendships formed

   and good times shared

and laughter through the years.

A life well-lived

    is a legacy

of joy and pride and pleasure,

   a loving, lasting memory

our grateful hearts will treasure.

I loved visiting my Aunt Doris. She loved having discussions about the Bible and was a very spiritually minded person. She always would tell me how her and Uncle Ron would do their daily Bible reading together.
