Dorothy, you were indeed and a true reflection of your name, "ifdeadigo." And you were always gracious in lighting the path of some of us who needed to be guided gently and unassumingly. I remember June 2010 when I first met you at Pacelli School for the Blind Lagos -- you were visiting home from the US. Within that short visit with you, I saw in you life, light and joy. Dorothy, you were simply and were someone who loved and appreciated life and shared life freely. Do rest peacefully in the Lord whom served and identified with so well. I offered Mass for you today...Happy birthday...Rest in peace and pray for us.

What one saw was what they got: The real deal. Nothing more is required of anyone. We thank Almighty God for sharing your brief time here with us. Sister nwannemadu,
It is heartbreaking to learn that you have passed on. My Mom was filled with joy when you came visiting her with another Rev Sr some two years ago.She saw in you a joyful and humble person. When I visited your Mom later, I had so much fun being with her and your family. Though it was my first visit to your family house, I felt at home and I realized immediately where your humility and joyful radiance came from. I let your Mom and family know you were in good hands in Houston when she asked me about your condition.
Alas, we are all mortals and you have gone the way of all mortals. Rest in peace.

On July 12, 2015 when we visited, you requested for a torch light to see us clearly. We spent the night with you.... Then you kept saying prayers of surrender 'Jesus I love you, all I have is yours... we joined you, then you kept repeating your favorite song to our Lady 'Odot ukpono, enye odot ukpono, enye odot ukpono, Virgin Mary Odot ukpono ke nsi nsi' You sang it so clearly that your kid sister Ifunanya must have wondered how you could sing efik song so wonderfully well. Virgin Mary must have welcomed you to heaven.
Pray for us, Pray for the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus especially this year of Consecrated life.
The Priest who celebrated Mass on the day of your departure said it is a rare privilege to die on the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the lady who announced the resurrection. May Jesus welcome and share His resurrection with you. Thank you for your special love for me, for our Congregation. May God rest your soul
