His Life

A Man of Many Words

March 31, 2016

Ed Huckfeldt was a dynamic Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather who never met a stranger, and was never short on words of kindness.

Ed is survived by his wife Billie Huckfeldt, Daughter Julie Champagne (Doug), Son Ed Huckfeldt Jr., Granddaughter Danielle Hartle (Jason), Grandsons James Champagne (Savannah), Hayden Huckfeldt, Hudson Huckfeldt, and Great grandchildren Jacob, Austin and Karmin Hartle.

Born in California in 1936, Ed lived a full and successful life while enriching the lives of so many personally and professionally. Ed served in the U. S. Army until 1958. Ed worked in numerous fields before finding his calling as a Financial Planner, which led to him becoming Divisional Vice President for American Express Financial Planners where he retired after 24 years of service.

During his retirement, Ed pursued his passion of the outdoors by enjoying a life of hunting and fishing. He traveled often between his homes in Idaho and Arizona along with his wife. Ed was an avid volunteer for organizations such as the Lakeport Volunteer Fire Department, Kiwanis International, and New Plymouth Senior Center.

Ed has respectfully requested that no official services be held which his family is honoring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the New Plymouth Senior Center at 126 Plymouth Avenue, P.O. Box 506 New Plymouth, Idaho 83655.

Ed will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. We rest in the comfort of knowing heaven is rejoicing at his arrival and we will see him again.
