From Sarah and Chris:

Our mum was born in Rochdale in January 1953.  She was one of 7 children to her mother Bet.  Her brothers and sisters were Margaret, Sarah, Paul, Angela, Patricia and Peter.  As a child she grew up on Palatine Avenue in Norden.  

She married our dad, Alister at 19 years old.  They were married for 41 years and lived in various places throughout Rochdale, from Passmonds and eventually to Brex in Bacup.  Our mum was forever active and a very supportive and loving mother - she wanted nothing but the best for her children, they came first!  

Her grandchildren named Oliver, Megan, Harvey and Lola were very special to her; they too, doted on Grandma!!!  her fun loving, easy going and selfless personality was infectious to them all.  

She was a fantastic mother and grandma to our children, role model and best friend to us.  She will be solely missed.......... we love youand will miss you so much mum! xxx
