Biography of the late Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Osei Debrah

The late Opanyin Emmanuel Kwasi Osei Debrah came into the
world on June 25th, 1942, born to Op Kwadwo Debrah of the Aduana Family of
Obo-Kwaku and Madam Adwoah Mercy Korang of the Bretuo Family in Twenerase
Kwahu, both now resting in peace. He was the eldest among his nine siblings, involving
six brothers and three sisters. His educational journey began in Mangoase,
later continuing at a Secondary School in Accra.
Upon completing his secondary education, he embarked on his professional path, starting as a teacher at Cannys Prep School. However, his aspirations led him to join the Winneba Police Academy, where he successfully graduated as a Police Officer. Throughout his career, he served diligently in various roles within the Police Service, including at notable stations such as Tema Station (Com 1) and Ada Foa Police Station. He also contributed his expertise to specialized units like the Fight Squad Department at Police Headquarters and the Ministry Police Station as a CID Officer at Kaneshie Police Station (CID).During his time stationed at Teshie Police Barracks, he fulfilled duties at the Cocoa Affair Court as a Police Prosecutor.
It was during his tenure in Tema that he met the love of his life, Gladys Debrah, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Additionally, during his service at Ada Foa Police Station, he formed a family with Chief Inspector Alice Adjoa Naami, with whom he had three sons.
His dedication and hard work within the Ghana Police Service saw him rise to the esteemed rank of Chief Inspector. Known for his generous spirit and unwavering support for his family and friends, he was a source of guidance and comfort to many. His passions for sports and literature, particularly evident in his active participation in the Ghana Police Hockey teams, further enriched his life and those around him.
Later in his career, he assumed leadership at the Half Assin Police Station after being transferred from Teshie Police Barracks. With 40 years of devoted service, he retired to his residence in Awoshie Water Works. Throughout his journey, he fostered many friendships within the Police Service and beyond, earning a reputation as a father figure who deeply cared for his children and community.
On Saturday, April 13th, at the age of 82, Mr. E.O. Debrah concluded his earthly voyage. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gladys Debrah, his ex-wife, Alice Naami (Retired Police Chief Inspector), three children, and thirteen grandchildren. As we bid him farewell, we are thankful for the life he shared with us and pray for his eternal rest in perfect peace.
