His Life
June 21, 2014

Mr. Byram was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 16, 1943, the son of the late Sara Louise Redding Byram and John Dawson Byram. He was retired from the General Motors Corporation where he was a machinist. He enjoyed a successful career building not only car motors, but in later years had the thrill of constructing train engines. After retirement he spent hours studying any form of history, and enjoyed collecting Civil War relics. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Rex, Georgia. Gene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved nothing more than being at home surrounded by those he loved. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Linda Louise English Byram of Franklin, GA.; three daughters, Judith Byram, Amy Duckett, and Debbie Frederick (Dennis) also of Franklin, GA.; one son, John Byram of Danielsville, GA.; one sister, Jerri Shumake of Carrollton, GA; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
