Mrs . Annie Eva Mae McGhee was born to the late Mr. & Mrs . Maize and Rosezell Grayson on September 2, 1948 in Coosa County, Alabama. She transitioned into eternal life Saturday, March 30, 2013.

She confessed Christ early in life and joined Union Baptist Church. In May of 1966 she was joined in Holy matrimony to Edward McGhee Sr. She later joined the Seleeta Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Deacon wife, pres­ident of the usher board, member of the matron and in the Seleeta Mass Choir. In addition to being a soldier for her own church, she was also a dedicated member of the Early Rose District Choir, the Golden Girl of Alexander City, as well as, the co-chairman of the Early Rose District Deacon wives. She was a true soldier for the Lord who loved work­ ing for her church .

She had several sisters and brothers that preceded her in Life : Velma Grayson, Lillie P. Grayson Roberson, Alice Goode, Gertrude Grayson, John Grayson, Tommy Grayson,Floyd Grayson, Eugene Grayson and John Marion Gamble .

Eva McGhee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. She leaves behind, not to mourn but to cherish her memories, a faithful, compassionate and devoted husband, Mr. Edward B. McGhee Sr. of Alexander City, Alabama ; two sons, Ed­ ward (Donna) McGhee Jr. of Coosa County, Alabama, Tracy (Tomeka) McGhee of Alexander City, Alabama ; one daughter, Sharon (Michael) Ransaw of Alexander City, Al­ abama; two brothers, Charles Grayson Gamble of Childer­ sburg, Alabama l!nd Ezell (Rosie) Grayson of Wetumpka, Alabama; three sisters, Elaine Barnes, Willie (Jimmy) Dark both of Sylacauga, Alabama and Alberta L. Seals of Evanston, Illinois; a mother-in-law; Ruby Crawford of Coosa County, Alabama; ten sisters-in-law; Lorraine Maxwell, Doris (Fred) Smoot, Joyce (Richard) Marbury, Alice (sam) Barnes, Mae Dell Thomas, Sara (Tommie) Fletcher, Cheryl Walker, Martha (Earl) Cox and Mattie Grayson, Fannie Gamble; one aunt, Ada Smoot of Coosa County, Alabama ; seven grandchildren , Deandra Ransaw, Gabriel McGhee, Bernyya McGhee , Joshua McGhee, Nico­ las McGhee, James McGhee, Trinity McGhee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
