Let the memory of Evelyn (Evie) be with us forever.
  • Born in New York, United States.
  • Passed away in Oregon, United States.

We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart..

Nanna used to love to tell the story of how she entered the birth guessing lottery at her work before my twin and I were born and won! It was before she married or even dated Grandpa. She used to say with such delight "I didn't even know I was going to get to be your grandma!" She always loved us completely and was kind and generous with us. You will be missed!

It was a treat to see that you had a wonderful life with family and friends. Loved your smile. John Fisher, fellow classmate, Charlotte High School, Class of 1945.

It was so nice to meet you and be a small part of your life for a short time. I am so happy that I was finally able to visit you and to bring you the cookies I had promised. I enjoyed that time together and playing Bingo with you (even though neither one of us won). Rest In Peace Evie.

You joined our family 38 years ago and brought us so much joy and laughter. You will always be part of our hearts.
