Faye Newton Ray, 69, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Otis Bernard Newton Jr. and Helen Blalock. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a retired administrative assistant at General Telephone.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday February 10, 2016 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Craig Saunders and Pastor Craig Currin. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, Bobby Ray of the home, a daughter, Wanda Ray Ferrell (Brent) of Butner, a son, Richard H. Ray (Paula) of Creedmoor, a sister, Cathy Newton of Creedmoor, two brothers, Randy B. Newton(Robin) and Mark A. Newton(Linda), all of Oxford, brother-in-law Kent Ray of Clarksville, Va., two granddaughters, Brooke Ferrell and Jenna Ray, two grandsons, Evan Ray and Peyton Ferrell, a special niece, Morgan Newton and special nephew, Dylan Newton.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, February 9, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
