Frances Raynor Watson, 74, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Duke University Hospital.   

A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late William Pierce and Catherine Thompson Raynor.  She was a member of South Henderson Church of God, retired from Burlington Industries, Nortel, IBM, a substitute teacher in Granville County Schools, a nurse at the Granville House and secretary and treasurer of Tubby’s Car Care.   

Memorial Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Gary Harper and Rev. Rodney Inscoe.   Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Ronald L. “Tubby” Watson of the home, three children, Gary Harris of Raleigh, Tobin Harris and Teresa H. Fox of Kittrell, a sister, Betty Jean Bridges of Youngsville, three brothers, Billy Raynor of Raleigh, John Edward Raynor of Wilson, Jimmy Raynor of Oxford, eight grandchildren, and a special niece, Kathy Emory.  

Omission of flowers is requested and memorials may be made to South Henderson Church of God, 125 J.P. Taylor Road, Henderson, North Carolina 27537.  

Visitation will be held 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.

Denny and I were heart broken to hear of Frances passing she was truly a lovely person.Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family. God bless.
