Bro, it is hard for me,
To pen down a tribute.
Saying kwaheri is just one of those difficult things.
But now I have to come to terms.
It is indeed true that you are gone.
Two years I was privileged to be your roomate in campus,
Two years served together in the Christian Union,
Planned and went for missions together,
And simply grew up together.
Served in FOCUS together, though a year later after you,
Lived together in the tender steps of beginning life 'out here',
You remember the bachelor house?
Alongside Simon, Tobias, Edgar, Hum and I.
To come to terms with the reality,
That never will I see you again,
In this physical body,
Hanging around on this world that is not our home,
Is just but an ordeal.
Never will I get to be challenged,
By your determination and firm approach to life.
Never will I get to be challenged,
To reach out and build relationships.
Never be challenged,
To live look at life with the mind of impacting others' lives.
A lot did I learn from you.
You did live your fullest.
You fought that good fight.
And I surely concur with others,
That you left a great legacy.
I will miss you as a dear brother and friend.
But you have left me challenged,
To live my life fully for Christ.
To go out and affect and influence lives for Him.
With this I believe we shall meet at the end of the age.
When our Father calls me home.
RIP peace!
My brother and friend,
Frankline Simiyu Machani
