Guido Pollio, 96 years old, Nokomis, Florida passed away January 22, 2016

He was born in the West Village Manhattan, New York and moved to Long Branch, NJ, finally settling in Oakhurst, NJ before retiring to Nokomis, Florida.

He served in the US Army in WW II and continued civilian service employment at the Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, NJ for 30 years before retiring in 1977. He was also an entrepreneur owning and operating several businesses; the Squire Shop, Middletown, NJ and the Arcade at Long Branch Pier and also designed and built the West Park Towne Shops and Cobblestone Village in Ocean Township.

He was an avid sports fan and absolutely loved fishing. It brought him great joy to fish at the Intercostal in Nokomis, Florida with a group of fishing buddies

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Uncle and will be missed by all who knew him. He is predeceased by his wife Natalie and son Wayne, and sisters Fedora De Fresco and Dina Montedoro. Surviving are his step-daughter Janet Furman and husband Ray of Florida, step-son William Ludlow and his wife Marjorie of North Carolina, grandchildren Richard Bisbee of Colorado and Kim Tapager of Wisconsin and nieces and nephews (Ralph, Gary, Andrea Montedoro and Maria Rossi) of New Jersey.
