This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Haing Ngor age 55 (born on March 22, 1940 and passed away on February 25, 1996). We will remember him forever.  The death of Haing Ngor is too great to be honored 17 years in the future.  He was truly an amazing man, with an outstanding acting performance.  Ngor won an academy award for his role in "The Killing Fields".  However, his greatness emerged even before he entered the USA.  His first-hand experience of the Cambodian genecide helped shape the great person he became.  His experiences were expressed in his book, Haing Ngor:  A Cambodian Odyssey, though his success was expressed by those who knew of his story.  It was said that Ngor spent his time helping Cambodian refugees and attempting to improve the political status of Cambodia.  He was the leader of the Brussels-based groups, Aid to Displaced Persons and Enfants d'Angkor and a terrific human being overall.  It is therefore right that he should be honored.
