Happy Mother's Day, to the best mother who ever lived! I know that you are whooping it up with some of the great ones, (mere contenders, however) including your greatest rival, Mother Theresa. We love you and miss you very much, but hold your memory

Happy birthday momma! I ate a disgusting Reese's cup in
your honor. How in the world did you eat those? We had
all the family together a week before Christmas to celebrate your incredible life. There was more laughter than tears, as you would want it. We miss your
earthly presence very much, but we all feel your spirit in our daily lives.  Love you very much!

Happy Birthday Mom! Lani's words pretty much said it all. We all love you and miss you very much! I do however, understand how you ate those peanut butter cups all those years and will have my own Reese-a-thon tribute tonight!

Another of Mom's favorite quotes:

What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared
to what lies within us.

Our deepest condolences to all of "Nurse Jean's" family and friends. That's what my family called her. She was always so wonderful with my children when they visited Dr. Coit, and always had a smile and a joke for them. Whenever I ran into her around town, she was just the same. They are all grown now, but remember her dearly. The Prices, Lorraine, Drew, David and Leah

We remember Jean's dignity and spontaneous warmth and that impression came from only brief encounters. . . In a way, not unlike her daughter, Lori, and that is reassuring because she will live on through her daughter.
In my people's language, "chante washte  Mitakoye oyasin"..... With a pure heart we are all related.

One of Mom's favorite quotes and the way she lived her life:

I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness
that I can show to any human being, let me do it now.
Let me not defer or neglect it.
For I shall not pass this way again.

We were so very lucky to have her as our mother and role model.

How ironic I was thinking about Jeanne just last weekend. I came across a little jewelry box she sent me for my first communion about 40 years ago! I kept it just like she sent it - perfume, shells, sun dial and a scorpion wrapped up in tape. (Jay Munsinger (Duff) )

One very short day and just a few short hours with Jean, became a life time memory of a warm and wonderful lady. We should have splurged on dessert.

Jeane was one of the rare individuals who could live life in the moment, appreciating the people she meet and the nature she saw.

The best way for anyone who knew Jeanne to honor her life is to embody her most important attributes; be nice, love everyone, and last but certainly not least, take the unknown road as often as possible, because you never know what treasures you might find.
