Her Life

Isabel’s Beginning

March 24, 2021
Isabel Juliet Santoro arrived on Thursday November 8, 2001, 5pm at UCSF (Parnassus) in San Francisco, California. The first, and only, child born to her parents, Marc and Lauren (Eason). Isabel was the first grandchild born to Jim and Barbara Eason and the only grand daughter. She was their only grandchild for 11 years before her cousin(s) arrived. Isabel was a very healthy baby weighing over 8 pounds when she arrived 13 days after her due date. She continued to thrive and grow at a steady pace.
The first family home for Isabel was also her mother’s family home. Isabel enjoyed the cool temperate air moistened by fog as much as gentle ocean breezes on sunny days near the coast.  Isabel lived in her first home, in the southwestern corner of South San Francisco, called Westborough, for the first four years of her life.
Isabel was Christened on Sunday, May 30th 2002 (six months old) at Saint Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in South San Francisco where her mom (Lauren) and dad (Marc) were also baptized by The Dr Reverend Lynn Bowdish prior to marriage.  Isabel’s Godparents were Daryl Popin (also Lauren’s Godmother) and Sue and Ron McNaughton.  Sue and Lauren had been Girl Scouts together.
Isabel celebrated her first birthday with her first taste of cake and she liked it very much!  Many friends and family gathered to celebrate in Isabel’s home. A few weeks after her first birthday, Isabel began to take her first few independent steps.
