This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, J.B. Reynolds, 54 years old, born on June 13, 1958, and passed away on October 23, 2012. We will remember him forever.
I recall a lesson he taught me and use is often. Of course at the time I thought he was just being mean lol that was not the case. At 16 I was told if I dug all the tators from our garden (which was huge) that I could go to the football game so from the moment I got home from school until I finished I dug and dug until every tator was out of the ground. I ran and told my dad I was done. He didn't let me go to the game all he said was " you aren't always rewarded for your hard work the way you expect but u are always rewarded." I was so upset I ran to my room not wanting to listen to his "excuses" to me he was being mean. But later that night when it was dinner time for supper we had chicken and all the fixings including mashed potatoes and tator salad. When I sat down my dad looked at me and said " your reward for digging tators is this food because we were out of tators, didn't have the money to buy any and he had to fix the roof and couldn't do both" it then hit me what he had said earlier that day and I understood... Dad had a strange way of expressing his love but it was his way and I wouldn't have had it any other way.. I miss you dad even more today than I did yesterday I love you.
