You were truly a remarkable man who accomplished a lot in your relatively short life and impacted many lives from the testimonies that I have heard.

Although I did not get to meet you in your lifetime, I am grateful to you for your wonderful daughter, Sylvia, to whom I am married.

The blessings that we continue to enjoy together with our beautiful daughter are because of the values that you instilled in Sylvia. We will pass on these values to the next generation in your memory.

May the lessons of your life and your memory continue to teach and bless us all.

Dad, it's been thirty-four years now since you left us.
So much has happened, and it's hard to know where to start.
Yet I know you've kept an eye on things and still do so.
I'm glad for the memories, glad for the start you gave us, and for the example you showed me.
I still remember them.

I know there's no point wondering why things happen the way they do.
We don't have the answers.
We can only drive forward, praying to God for wisdom and to take the right steps.
I want you to know that I've not forgotten. I remember your lessons, your guidance and your achievements.
I would have loved it if you and Mum had stayed a lot longer for us, for yourselves. How much better and easier it would have been.
But even though it didn't work out that way, I've tried to remember the lessons and tried to succeed.

And thank God for today, for I am here.
So this is a letter to say thank you, dear Daddy.
For the weekends spent learning lessons.
For the company during exam days, the reassurance and the support when I needed it.
For the times we spent laughing together, praying together and learning with you. For being a Dad who cared enough to ensure I had what I needed to stand on my own.
For the sacrifice to make it possible for me to be here now, for the life lessons that I recall even now.
My heart is full, but know that I love you and celebrate you, sir.

Always
Nonye

Welcome to this space that celebrates and honours the memory of Engineer James Ezenta Kama.

Though his days on earth were short, he tried, above all, to live a life devoted to God and his family.

Let's remember how he touched our lives all those many years ago and how he encouraged and supported us.

Let us - despite the tragedy of his loss - smile for the memory of the husband, father, son, brother and friend, who was James (Jim) Kama.
