At grandmother's house
Our gandmother Mary West Flennory was a woman to remember. My brother James was raised buy her until thw age of 12 when Mrs. Violia (his mother by birth) came to get him. James was born Jonas Flennory but his name was "Watts" to his Penacola family. At Su's, my grandmother (as she was called) farm we had so mych fun.
When I asked my brother how he got the nickname "Fritz" he told me my granmother said he lookd like of of he rosters who had frizzie tail feathers..So she called him Fritz. We all started calling him that too..
There are so many stories yet to be told. Will you also share a story with usss?

A memory: He will truly be forever missed
I remember asking my brother how he got the nickname "Fritz" and he told me it was because grandpapa said he look the the roster's frizy tail..LOL
I just want to say thank you for the memories and this site as it brings us together and gives us a chance to fill in the blanks of my brother’s later years. My family means a lot to me and I start to feel James life and memory more complete again.

James Watts Was Forever Young
"On Eagles Wings"
James who dwelt in the shelter of the Lord,
He, also abided in God’ shadow for life,
I say to the Lord, who is “Our Refuge,
Our Rock and in whom I trust.
And He caught James up on eagle's wings,
Bearing him to heaven in the early dawn,
Making exit shine like the sun. James
Faithfulness was his shield. Rest in peace
Other I love you brother and your memory
Will never die.
