ForeverMissed

God send an angel from heaven in the afternoon of November 16, 2011 to seal the lips of a strong father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

James Edward Holt was born January 16, 1957 in Woodland, Ga. He was the third child born to proud parents, Mr. Ernest Lee and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Holt. His father, only sister Marsha Jean, and younger brother Clifford Logan preceded him in death.

James received Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church in Woodland, Ga. He was a 1975 graduate of Central High School in Talbotton, Georgia.

James was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle who knew just the right words to keep everyone strong. God has taken him to a place where there are no more worries, pain, or sorrow to bear, nothing but unbound joy. Over the years, James worked several jobs which include: Mead, Goody’s, Cagle, Denson Construction, and W. C. Construction. James worked diligently until his health failed him; however, he never hesitated to help anyone during their time of need.

James is survived by one loving son: Korbis Jamyien (Jessica) Holt, Sr.; four grandchildren: Malik, Korbis Jr., Kashton, and Kayden; his loving and devoted mother: Mary E. Holt; four brothers: Ernest (Peggy) Holt, Jr., Ivory Holt, Fabian Holt, Sherman (Vernessa) Holt; four uncles: Edward Harmon, Clyde Holt, David (Sally) Holt, and Stanley (Kim) Holt; four aunts: Josephine Holmes, Alice Pearl (Izell) Hollis, Jewell Leonard, and Caroline (Carl) Powell; two special great aunts: Marie Evans and Lucy M. Peters; one special great uncle: Leonard Hinton; a very special friend and children: Deborah, Geia, and DeTavius and five other God given grandchildren; five special nephews: Desman, Tavares, Ylottis, JaMarcus, and Santwan; four special nieces: Chaka, LaToya, Tenetta, and Ashley; and a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
