James Howard Dickerson, Jr., 57, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late James Howard Dickerson, Sr.  He was a member of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church and worked with his father in construction for many years.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Bruce Brooks.

Surviving are his mother Margaret Smith Dickerson of the home, three sisters; Wanda D. Sykes of Enfield, Beverly D. Faulkner of Oxford, Lisa Lynn Dickerson of Oxford, a brother, Scott S. Dickerson of Oxford, three nieces; Laura Ashley Sykes, Blair D. Hicks, Mary Chandler Dickerson, two nephews; Phillip Craig Sykes and Charles Jason Faulkner.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. in the sanctuary at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Omission of flowers is requested and memorials can be made to Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church, 4572 Anitoch Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
