His Life

Friendship

December 20, 2014

Jim had many friends along his life and though he often was a part of many shananigans  Jim was also often the voice of reason. Jims first close friends were Marcus and Jesse in Port Townsend, WA. Jim and Marcus would spend hours outside and at Marcus's home playing superhero and many other games only they would know. Jim and Jesse also spent many hours playing together,oh the stories one could tell.

When Jim moved to Vancouver WA in 1985 he attended Lincoln Elementary as well as the First Presbyterien Church where he met first JR and then Ryan. Jim and Ryan remained friends through Jims adulthood and shared many more experiences than any of us may know. Jim and Ryan went on mission trips with the church together and Jim was later Ryans Best Man at his wedding.

In the Beginning

December 20, 2014

Jim was born James Robert Johnson November 08, 2014 as the oldest child to Rick and Lorene Johnson. Jim was the first grandson to both paternal grandparents Lorriane Johnson and Gordon "Pat" Johnson as well as to maternal grandparents John Sanders and Lorene Green. Jim was loved and doted on by parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles alike. When he was three years old his sister Stacy Lynn was born (September 16, 1977). Jim loved on his little sister and as the story goes would kiss her on the head saying " I wuv you wittle siser!".

Jim was known by family as Jimmy and JimBob and as he matured only family was allowed to call him those endeering names. As a little boy Jim loved Micky Mouse, Spider Man, Superman, and playing many pretend games. Jim and Stacy were known to  dress up together in anything that could be found even diapers used as pirate hats. Stacy followed Jim everywhere and wanted to do everything he did, which at times bugged Jim to no end. Jim was raised by his father Rick to hunt and fish. Jim lived in Port Townsend, WA from birth until he was ten years old. He attended Grant Street Elementary School from Kindergarden to fifth grade.

In Port Townsend Jim lived near many family members. His uncle Randy lived next door with aunt Sam. Randy took Jim fishing often and was a close influence. Sam made huge cookies and loved on Jim like her own. Great Uncle and Aunt Harriet lived half a clock down the street, great grandma and grandpa Higdon lived two blocks away, and grandma and grandpa Johnson lived just outside of town. Many cousins and great aunts and uncles also lived in the same town nearby. Jim was surrounded by family and love from the start.
