James was the second Child born to John Henry & Winnie Wallace Abney. 

He was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Mae Coleman and to this union ten children we're born and 3 preceded him in death, James Henry, Abraham and Melvin. 

He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters,  Georgia Faye (Robert) Hawkins, Andrea Gallman, Susan Abney, Katherine Abney & Willie Pearl (Richard) Wallace. Two sons, Ray Anderson & Calvin Abney all of Saluda S.C.

Three sisters, Annie Mae Matthews of Saluda S.C, Ellen Withers of Washington D.C and Pauline Hare of Bladensburg MD. Two brothers Wilbert Abney of Garysburg VA and Bennie Lee Abney of Norristown PA.

33 Grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
